Nelson Street, Mornington / 4 Dwelling Development

UrbanArc’s client, The Tempo Group, purchased a site in Nelson Street with the intention of developing a medium density housing project. During the due diligence phase it was identified there had been three previous VCAT appeals resulting in some refusals for development, similar to the intended plan for this site.

UrbanArc formulated a strategy to liaise with the parties involved in the previous VCAT hearings that successfully avoided another VCAT appeal and resulted in a planning permit being issued within the 60-day statutory period. Risks, and significant time and cost savings were realised in successfully avoiding another VCAT appeal.
